I found this book Gita for Kids https://amzn.to/3jDCqq8 as quite instructive .

Honest confession — first time ever, I have been able to understand what exactly is the true essence of this amazing scripture, thanks to this book gifted to me by a youngster

A soothing thought in the current anxious times can be that we often feel that we carry the world on our shoulders. What will happen to my kids if I lose my livelihood. What if my parents are no more? What if …….. and ………..

But thats a misconception . And

The events that happen in our life are kind of pre-ordained. And God is simply executing His plan through us. And thus surrendering yourself to the Will of the Almighty and निष्काम कर्मयोग (Nishkam Karamyog) is the wisest strategy

Relevant here is an extract from Bhagavad Gita where Lord Krishna tells Arjun;

Kaalosmi lokakshaya-krit-pravriddho lokaan-samaahartum-iha pravrittaha Riteypi tvaam na bhavishyanti sarve yevasthitaah pratyanikeshu yodhaahaa

I am come as Time, world-destroying, mature, engaged constantly in subduing the world. Even without your action, all the warriors arrayed on the opposite side shall one day cease to be. (11:32)

Even without your action, Arjuna, even if you were never to raise arms against them, all the warriors you see arrayed before you will one day meet their death — Time will see to that.

‘Therefore, I say to you, Partha, rise, pick up your bow, and gain glory for having done your duty as a warrior and a king; earn the right to rule your kingdom, and rule it well. Time hasthese warriors marked for death already, by Me they have already been slain. Your action will only determine the manner of their death, Savyasachi; you only strike the already doomed.

‘Stand up! Slay Drona, Bhishma, Jayadratha, Karna and the other mighty warriors. Fight, Arjuna, have no fear. The enemy is yours to conquer.’
